Bronx Engineering is a mechanical design company based in Brierley Hill that has been in business since 1940. They design machines for processing aluminum and steel coils. They have vast experience and have maintained continual development to ensure that they remain an innovator in design and manufacturing.
Bronx Engineering originally engaged with ACUTEC in 2006 to modernise their existing IT systems. They initially had a very basic online setup using pay as you go Internet as well as other very out of date systems. Following on from the initial upgrade, Bronx Engineering engaged with ACUTEC for a second upgrade in 2015.
ACUTEC worked with Bronx Engineering to move their system to one server platform with virtual servers. When it came to actually migrating the server it completely failed at the final stage because it was that old. Our technicians were worried just about moving it, yet successfully and safely rectified the issue . To help the business modernise further, ACUTEC initiated a migration to Office 365. Previously, the company had used an in-house email server, with Office 365 they are now using Exchange Online with all email hosted in the Cloud.
One of the main features of Office 365 that Bronx Engineering takes advantage of is Skype for Business. They have used the service to engage with their customers in new ways through video conferencing. They also use the service when on business overseas and to speak with their colleagues at their Australian offices.
